Watermelon 5K, June edition 🍉 23:37, course PR Watermelon 5K, June edition 🍉 23:37, course PR and tied my overall PR which annoys the absolute shit out of me. Think I was 4th in age group. Totally died at mile 3 (usually mile 2 is my no man's land) but I'm trying to remember that I set my PR last year in November, with much better weather - ergo, I AM in 22:xx shape but maybe not in these temps. 

Still, a good rust buster and I am absolutely in a better place with myself this year versus when I ran the August iteration last year. God, that period sucked, and I'm thrilled to be released from it and happy to befriend folks (like my run bro here) who give truly positive meaning to my days and boost me rather than drag me to their level. Onto race #2 in July and putting in the work till then!
