fresh strawberry mango lemonade

Sweet and refreshing, it's giving dreams of spring.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mango chunks (about 2 medium mangoes)
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 10-12 large lemons)
  • 7-8 cups water

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, bring to a simmer the strawberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Cook gently, stirring and mashing the berries occasionally, about 10-15 minutes until the berries are greatly reduced. Strain the solids through a fine mesh sieve into a jar or measuring glass.
  • Toss the cubed mango into a food processor and blitz until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • In a large drink pitcher, stir together the strawberry syrup, mango puree, lemon juice, and water. Cover and chill at least one hour, but preferably overnight.
  • Serve with fresh strawberry slices, basil, and/or mint leaves!
